Institute of Law and Academic Studies (ILAS) was established in Aug. 2004. The existence of our Institute is the result of consistent, inspiration and hard work of Mr. Satender Chaudhary the then secretary, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Shiksha Prachar samiti. His keen attitude, interest and constant efforts in the field of education helped us to establish, such a reputed Institute for B.Ed. one year course program . Our college is known for the qualified faculty, well planned infrastructure, established systems & responsive administration.
ILAS made a modest beginning with the aim and objectives of imparting quality training in teacher education and programming for effective learning and teaching process. Our college strives to mould the pupil teacher into wholesome, patriotic and proactive teachers. The education imparted is based on ideals and the philosophy of Indiablended with the nationalism and scientific approach of the west.
Vision of the founder was to impart holistic education to the student teachers for their academic excellence and inculcate national and human values in them through academic, co-curricular and socially meaningful activities.
Mission of the Institute is to serve the society and improve quality of life in every sphere by nurturing talent providing excellent academic and research environment and promoting dissemination of knowledge and becoming an Institution of Recognition.
Objectives
The Institute, out of its committed ideology and objectives has shifted to the countryside to provide quality education to the otherwise backward and deprived sections of the society. The Institution has always endeavored to serve the underprivileged masses despite its requirement to function within a set curriculum. At the time of inception the Parental Body; Deen Dayal Updhyay Shiksha Prachar Samiti. the founders had formulated certain objectives which are as follows:
1. To encourage the students from backward and deprived sections of the society for their educational up liftment.
2. To eradicate illiteracy and to improve educational standards by opening schools & colleges at the rural and urban centers.
3. To impart, disseminate and advertise for the education in Hindi & English.
4. To establish Library, reading room and entertainment centers for intellectual development.
5. To establish and ensure computer literacy for providing practical, vocational and technical education to students to make them self dependent.
6. To organize cultural meets, seminars and conferences for social awakening & awareness.
7. To arrange medical services for public health, family welfare and organizing camps for providing medical facilities and general hygienic awareness to the Public.
8. To impart education to the poor and deprived sections of the society.
Therefore, ab initio, the Institution is practising following objectives of the Parental Body which were emphasized vide there bye laws:
1. To provide quality education and working for all round development of the students from backward and deprived sections of the society so as to make them worthy citizens of tomorrow.
2. To create an enabling environment for holistic development of students through academic, extra- curricular and socially meaningful activities.
3. To develop awareness about the role of education in building up a democratic, secular and socialistic pattern of the society and thus to serve the society & consequently the nation.
4. To make the students technically and professionally sound so that they can meet the needs of changing global trends.
5. To develop 3.H (Head, Heart & Hand) education, profound knowledge in intellect, abiding happiness in mind and unfailing health in body.
Infrastructure Facilities: The infrastructure of the school waves the following aspects:-
1) Well furnished classrooms made in such a manner that they receive proper sunlight and ventilation.
2) To stress upon practical aspects of education well equipped laboratories, such as Phycial sciences Lab, Biological Lab, Chemistry Lab, Educational Technology Lab, Psychology Lab with all necessary and adequate apparatus have been arranged and organized in the Institute.
3) To keep pace with the changing technology, computer education through theory and practical is integral part of the curriculum and for that separate computer lab has been set up and the college owns a very well developed ICT centre.
The Campus area of the Institute is spread over 1.30 acres and the total covered area is 2620.48 Sq. meter. The Institute is now located at Village Kalyanpur, Pargana & Tehsil Garh Mukteshwer. Distt. Ghaziabad (UP),a rural center where there is utmost requirement for a good college of education which could cater to the needs of the rural masses and can provide quality education to the students. This is well connected by metalled road and at a distance of 5 km. from the township of Garh Mukteshwar at a sprawling green pollution free location. The Institution is housed in a well built building having adequate space for Labs, Classrooms, Library and Multipurpose hall and Administrative offices. The Institute has its on canteen where the students can get healthy eatables. Separate common room for boys & girls and ample of parking area for vehicles of visitors, students and those of the Institution are available.
There is separate washroom facility for boys & girls on all floors and a conveniently placed Enquiry Counter at the main entrance of the Institution. There is separate room for visitors and also a Health & Physical Resource center apart from three stores and security post at the entrance of the Institution. The Institution also has full time Broad Band availability for Internet and also one LCD projector, four OHPs and 32 computers and one Laptop. It has its hostel facility for girls. A bus facility is available for commutation of students between the town ship of Garh Mukteswar and the Institution. The Institution has a staff pool car of Versa make to facilitate commutation of teacher educators and the non teaching staff. A medical practitioner visits the Institution campus twice a week & also on emergency calls. The college has two DG sets of 25 and 5 KW capacity to facilitate electricity supply in case of non availability of power on rural feeder to ensure uninterrupted power supply. The college has one water cooler fitted with RO system for supply of healthy drinking water to the students & staff. Also there is an inverter of 1 KW capacity to facilitate smooth functioning of labs.
